André Vieira, MD — Founder & Chairman
Dr. André Vieira is a Brazilian physician and healthcare executive with 28 years of experience spanning clinical
medicine, surgical specialization, and large-scale healthcare systems management.
After establishing his clinical foundation in Rio de Janeiro—including a hospital internship at the Hospital da Força
Aérea do Galeão (Brazilian Air Force Hospital) and surgical specialization at Hospital Municipal Miguel Couto
—Dr. Vieira dedicated 15 years of his career exclusively to healthcare management, founding and leading
organizations that became operational benchmarks in Brazil.
Under his leadership, these organizations managed more than 5,000 physicians across multiple specialties,
supporting clinical operations in 6 hospitals and 23 Emergency Care Units across three Brazilian states, collectively
serving more than 5 million patients.
His organizations successfully recruited physicians nationwide, coordinating workforce deployment, physician
staffing, medical transportation, hospital operational support, and professional training. This extensive network enabled critical healthcare delivery in remote regions of the Brazilian Amazon, including public hospitals in Marajó, Paragominas, and Tailândia, as well as industrial healthcare operations supporting Mineração Rio do Norte (MRN) in Porto Trombetas.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, his organizations maintained uninterrupted physician coverage across all managed facilities, demonstrating the operational resilience that later became a foundational principle of HRS.
Dr. Vieira founded HRS (Hemispheric Resilience System) with the conviction that operational expertise developed through large-scale healthcare management in Latin America is directly transferable to the broader challenge of hemispheric resilience. HRS was established as a U.S.-based strategic advisory firm aligned with American institutional standards, strategic interests, and a long-term commitment to strengthening resilience across the Western Hemisphere.
Dr. Vieira operates across Brazil and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
